THE BASICS OF MOISTURIZING NATURAL HAIR

If you are just starting out your hair journey, getting a good moisturizing routine can be quite a challenge. A lot of emphasis is put on the products themselves instead of the moisturizing technique. Before you invest in moisturizing products, this is what you need to know.

The most popular methods are the LCO and LOC method which stand for:

Liquid/ Leave-in conditioner , Oil and Cream.

The video below goes into detail about how to do the LCO/LOC method.

It is not mandatory to follow these methods. There are people who simply apply leave in conditioner and some oil (‘LO’) while others skip out on the leave in and use water as their moisturizer then seal it in with an oil/cream.

It is all about trial and error. I suggest starting out with one of these methods then if neither of them work you, branch out and try other methods. It is also important to note that the products you are using may not be working for your hair so I suggest testing out different product combinations as well.

What is your current moisturizing routine? Is it working well for you ? Please share your routine in the comments below .
